We begin our fall season in September and will play 15’s style rugby. In the Spring, our season will begin in February and we will play 7’s style rugby. You don’t need any experience to come try rugby, and we encourage new players year round.

Purpose Statement

Mizzou’s Women’s Rugby Club presents the opportunity for Mizzou Students to learn more about the sport of rugby while traveling and playing other competitive collegiate teams. Most Saturday’s collegiate clubs host tournaments that several collegiate teams will attend, giving us the opportunity to connect with other lady ruggers around the mid-America region. Our fall season starts the first week of September (no experience is needed) and ends at the end of November. The spring season begins in the middle of January and ends at the beginning of May. We accept new players year-round and encourage you to give it a try!

Membership Dues

Semester dues are $120 per person, this includes the $90 individual player registration with National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) and $30 in dues for the club. NCR registration includes payment of the insurance, referees, travel costs, and team equipment.  It is a requirement to registered with NCR to compete, which lasts 12 months covering both fall and spring seasons.

Enrollment Period

Our club does not hold tryouts, come join us!

Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday (4:30-6:30pm), beginning September 12th.

Practices will be held at Epple Field (2001 Providence Rd.). It’s about a three-minute drive from campus and there is a bus that picks up at various stops around campus and will drop off next to Epple in the Reactor parking lot.

Please arrive at least five minutes before our scheduled practice time so we can put on cleats and get any equipment ready we may need for that day. Make sure to bring water, cleats* (without front toe cleat, ex. soccer cleats), and an EXCITEMENT to learn.

*if you do not have cleats already, do not worry about it. Come give rugby a try and if you decide to play in a game we can work on getting all the needed equipment by then!
