Bouldering Wall

Our bouldering wall is designed for both the recreational and advanced climber. It is available for use during regular complex hours to assist you in developing your grip strength through a wide array of specialty holds and climbing routes in hopes to improve your overall climbing technique.

For your safety, it is strongly encouraged to have a spotter while bouldering. In addition, for your safety, a thick foam mat (crash pad) is positioned beneath the bouldering wall. Barefoot climbing and loose chalk are not permitted. Members who come to boulder and wish to checkout shoes (your own socks are required), chalk bags or chalk balls, may do so during the Climbing Wall’s hours of operation.

Text Book Scholarship Criteria

Qualifying Criteria:

Two full semesters with Team Mizzou OR 340 hours of completed service to the department since date of hire.
Enrollment in the next academic year
MU GPA: Minimum 3.00 CUM
Must have an up-to-date FAFSA on file with Financial Aid
Respond to all 3 essay questions (located below) through the application form

To remain eligible for the award, you must:

Remain continuously enrolled at MU for each regular (fall and spring) semester
Remain continuously employed with Team Mizzou for each regular (fall and spring) semester
Maintain a minimum of 9 scheduled hours weekly for each regular (fall and spring) semester
Complete at least 24 graded credit hours each academic year
Maintain a cumulative MU grade point average of 2.5 or higher

Essay Question 1:
Describe your personal contribution to MizzouRec over the past year, providing three examples of those contributions and how you have made a distinct difference. (150-200 words)

Essay Question 2:
Express how becoming a Team Mizzou Scholar and receiving a scholarship would impact your life today, providing three examples of the ways a scholarship would help you fulfill your purpose at Mizzou. (150-200 words)

Essay Question 3:
Describe what you learned or gained as a Team Mizzou member. Provide at least two examples of how this will contribute to your future success? (150-200 words)

Team Mizzou Scholarship Fund

Team Mizzou is MizzouRec’s student staff training and development program. Each year MizzouRec awards tuition and fees scholarships and textbook scholarships to members of Team Mizzou who demonstrate excellence in both academics and employment. Giving to the Team Mizzou Scholarship Fund allows these dedicated students to dream bigger and accomplish even more, meaning that these scholarships often allow recipients to further their educations, study abroad, or stay in school without having to take out another loan.

TigerX Guidelines

IDENTIFICATION FOR ENTRY

A valid photo ID and reservation is required for entrance.

5-MINUTE FORFEIT

Reservations are forfeited and given to wait list participants if arriving less than 5 minutes prior to the start of class.

WARM-UP AND COOL DOWN

Members are encouraged to stay for the entire class. For your safety, please join us for the warm-up and cool down as they are essential to prepare your body for the workout and return your body to a steady state after the workout. TigerX instructors reserve the right to deny entry to members who arrive after the warm-up period has ended.

SHOES

Per our MizzouRec Guidelines, non-marking athletic shoes are required for all classes except for Ballet Boot Camp, PiYo Strength, Pilates, and Yoga classes. Cycling shoes are permitted for our Cycling classes.
