On game days, the Statistician will serve as lead event staff: expected to arrive 1.5 hours prior to game time, required to dress appropriately for the game(s), and will help with the setup of the facility. This includes team benches, the scorer’s table, and spectator seating. Staff is expected to set up their own functional area. The setup of functional areas should be completed thirty minutes to tip-off. After the game, the Statistician is responsible for teardown of his or her functional area and securing the equipment they use. For away games, staff will assist in loading and unloading the equipment, wheelchairs, and luggage onto the bus. Student staff members are expected to work events and demonstrations as needed.
